What was your very first stereo?

OK, now that we're starting a new month and post, thought it would be fun to find out and bring up the topic: What was your first stereo or stereo receiver you ever bought?

My first receiver was a 1967 Sansui 1000A tube/analog stereo used for $50.00, back in '74.

Have one stored (near mint condition) as a back up, for my Fisher 500-C has been my current main choice for music.  ;-)

Cheers!

We're starting with the '60s in regards to who were your favorite bands too!!!

OK...before we begin, let me give you a little brief background about myself:
Was born in San Francisco, back in the '60s era.  Lived in the heart of the city till 1975.  Became a music fanatic and in awe of analog/tube stereos of that era (have a fully restored 1965 Fisher 500-C with 1967 Dynaco A-10 speakers), due to my dad going through one used stereo after another from the secondhand shop and stacks of playing his favorite records up till 3 to 4 in the morning on Saturday evenings. Had experienced my first (free) concert at Golden Gate Park as a very young child, in which I had seen Jefferson Airplane perform.  Started to soon go see other concerts at the park a few years later from 1974 and on. Still as a very young teenager attended many concerts there after...in the mid '70s at historic venues like Winterland, The Cow Palace, Oakland Coliseum, Oakland Stadium (Day On The Greens), The Fillmore, other venues up till 2006...before permanently leaving California in 2008.

This intro is to start with the first decade that I grew up and was exposed to my favorite enjoyment in life (even as a musician)....MUSIC! :-)

So here we go for starters:
Here's the top first three bands that took me by storm when I was a kid in the '60s the the best city to musically live in during that late '60s psychedelic era (my personal favorite): San Francisco!
Bands:
1. Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett)
2. Jimi Hendrix
3. The Doors

Who was your three faves?
Cheers!
